|Kate Moss funds anti-heroin implant for ex Pete Doherty|
- Supermodel Kate 'feels terribly betrayed but understands that he still needs help'
Kate Moss has paid for ex-lover Pete Doherty to have an anti-heroin implant.
The supermodel, who recently split from the troubled rocker after he cheated on her, still has feelings for Pete and wants to help him beat his drug addiction.
A source told the Daily Mirror: "She feels terribly betrayed but understands that he still needs help and support. Kate is very aware that Pete still has issues with drug use and doesn't want to leave him in the lurch completely. Helping him with his medical care is one thing that Kate wants to do for him."
This is Pete's fifth implant - which works by blocking the effects of heroin - and the procedure costs thousands of pounds.
The Babyshambles rocker - who is due to have the implant fitted in his body later this month - has had to "scale down" the band's tour because of the procedure.
Pete wrote on the group's website: "We are scaling down touring because it's implant time coming up soon."
The 28-year-old singer, who spent the night with a South African model he met in a London nightclub last month, is said to be throwing himself into his music since Kate dumped him.
A source said: "He could have gone into meltdown following the split but he is managing to hold it together."
Kate, who dated Pete for two years, has changed the locks on her north London home and reportedly burned all his love letters and poems since the pair split.
Pete, who was told by a judge to enter rehab to face jail earlier this month, is said to be living in a north London council flat.
