Registered Team Manager - Fostering - North West London- Social CareDescription: Registered Team Manager Fostering Registered Team Manager – North West London Salary up to circa £55K plus benefits Within the role as Registered Team Manager you will ensure the effective operation and business performance of the Fostering Agency. To apply for this role you must have a CQSW / DipSW and a minimum of 5 years experience in post qualified Social Work, with some of it at a management or supervisory level. Within the role, you will: You will ensure standards, policy and procedures are applied consistently. You will develop the business in the region including the recruitment of Fostercarers, liaising with Local Authority Placement Teams and establish Quality Standards. Effectively plan, grow and manage the fostercare operation to achieve high standards and quality of service delivery to meet customer requirements and prescribed National Standards. Provide a professional fostering service which places the needs of looked after children at the top of its priorities. To ensure that recruitment of staff and fostercarers meets the National Minimum Standards. To maintain policy, standards and development for the fostercare service in line with National Care Standards and Company Policy. Main Responsibilities To provide professional leadership to staff and fostercarers. To train, develop and support both staff and fostercarers. To help manage and maintain the quality assurance system. To market the fostering service to the local authorities' and to be responsible for marketing to prospective Fostercare applicants. To support a Fostercare Panel, and ensure that sufficient staff members are trained and available to allow the Panel to function effectively. To manage the budget effectively, and adhere to Annual Business Plan Objectives. Other Duties To participate in all aspects of personnel management, including staff management recruitment, training, disciplinary proceedings, performance measurement and staff appraisal. To ensure effective staff supervision and appraisal systems are implemented, thereby enabling effective monitoring of workload and professional development of staff. You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, have good IT skills and be flexible and able to travel throughout the region.
