Centre and Education Support Worker- Social CareDescription: Centre and Education Support Worker £9,360 per annum (£15,600 subject to funding) Hours: 18 per week (30 subject to funding) Contract: 1 Year Summary of Main purpose of the job: - To support Centre Manager in daily tasks as instructed by Centre Manager or Director. - To support the staff and volunteer team on the centre floor and operations. - To complete admin support roles including money counting, banking and all centre statistics as instructed. - To co-ordinate the Ace Adult Education Project including meeting targets of student enrolment and engagement, the choosing of courses, supporting students and liaising with the involved partner organisations. - To ensure the safe running of operations at Ace of Clubs in accordance with policies and procedures in keeping with health and safety and safeguarding standards in working with vulnerable adults. - To seek out opportunities for funding and support for Ace of Clubs from the local community and the appropriate organisations and individuals. - To build the appropriate partnerships to ensure the success of the project in terms of student recruitment, assessment, research and reward. - Occasional attendance to external events to represent Ace of Clubs and promote the charity’s work. Position in the organisation: Centre and Education Support Worker Responsible to: Centre Manager Works in conjunction with: Staff, Volunteers and Members Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. To support Centre Manager in daily tasks as instructed by Centre Manager or Director. 2. To support the staff and volunteer team on the centre floor and operations. 3. To complete admin support roles including money counting, banking and all centre statistics as instructed. 4. To organise and keep up to date the admin filing system in the centre. 5. To co-ordinate the Ace Adult Education Project including meeting targets of student recruitment, enrolment and engagement, the choosing of courses, supporting students and liaising with the involved partner organisations. 6. To ensure the safe running of operations at Ace of Clubs in accordance with policies and procedures in keeping with health and safety and safeguarding standards in working with vulnerable adults. 7. To seek out opportunities for funding and support for Ace of Clubs from the local community and the appropriate organisations and individuals. 8. To occasionally organise volunteers and manage day to day activities 9. To build the appropriate partnerships to ensure the success of the project in terms of student recruitment, assessment, research and reward. 10. Occasional attendance to external events to represent Ace of Clubs and promote the charity’s work. Knowledge and Skills Required: 1. Experience in working with vulnerable adults 2. Experience in working with money and banking 3. Experience in leading teams which include vulnerable adults in their make-up 4. Experience in research, building reports and compiling statistics 5. Experience in supporting class room environments 6. Fully aware of Health and Safety and Equal Opportunity policies 7. Experience in fundraising and promotion is desirable but not essential
