Care Manager- Social CareDescription: My client is one of the UK's leading national providers of "Care At Home" for a broad range of customers across the UK. They are now seeking an experienced Care Manager to work at their offices in Westminster (Central London). They specialise in working with client's and their families who require Healthcare in their own homes. They offer a unique service of tailored care visits ranging from 15 minutes though to full live-in support. They now have a vacancy for Care Manager based at their offices in Westminster, Central London, You will be IT literate, articulate, organised and structured and will be responsible for the efficient running of the business, managing the admin team and the care workers as well as dealing with customers and care workers packages that they provide to their many customers. You will also be a great communicator with an excellent telephone manner, and able to receive and deliver clear and concise instructions, often whilst under tight time constraints, and pressure and in an ever changing environment. You will be required to work 40 hours per week, plus cover remote telephone on-call duties on a rota basis,(Currently 1 in 3 weekends) in return you will earn a basic salary of 30K, plus an additional performance bonus based on your branch's quality and sales performance, meaning you could earn up-to 38K. Essential Skills and Requirements. You must have management experience of service provision in the care profession. Minimum standard of 'working towards' NVQ5 in care and the Registered Manager's Award or equivalent in order to satisfy regulatory requirements. Must not have criminal convictions. Must have (or be working towards) a management qualification within 6 Months of employment Must submit to a satisfactory CRB/DBS Record check Special Skills and Attributes Excellent communication skills. Good planning and organisational skills. Experience of financial management. Sound understanding of good care principles. Skills in assessment and care planning. Negotiating skills. Ability to cope with pressure. Even-tempered and patient. Ability to cope with change. Ability to display empathy and warmth. Key Competencies To be able to plan, allocate and evaluate the workload of all staff. To able to develop and maintain the quality control system. To have a strong knowledge of the requirements of the Care Standards regulations. To understand and implement legislation and regulations relevant to user groups and the business as a whole. To be able to allocate, monitor and control financial resources. To be able to create and maintain administrative systems. To be able to recruit, select and effectively supervise a dispersed workforce. To be able to implement induction programmes, and to identify and provide for on-going training needs. To be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships. To be able to develop and maintain good assessment and review procedures which become the foundation for appropriate care plans. To be able to ensure that appropriate kinds of intervention take place to meet the user's needs and rights. To liaise with other agencies involved with the user to ensure the provision of integrated services. To have an excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety and all other legal aspects.
