IT Analyst Programmer- Public SectorDescription: One of our clients in the South London & Surrey area would like to recruit an experienced IT Analyst/Programmer. The successful candidate will have experience of maintaining and updating IT systems in particular Pitney, Bowes, Confirm and Northgate M3 (LP & PP) system. The contract for this position is initially for four months on a full-time basis. Job Details: To specify, design, build, implement and/or support applications. To specify user and system requirements, including interfaces, menus, screen dialogues, inputs, reports, validation and error correction procedures, processing rules, access, security and audit controls, recovery routines and contingency procedures, so that these can be used by less experienced staff. To produce and update complex outline systems specifications, logical system designs and detailed physical system designs. Design and code complex programs/procedures Construct test plans and execute program and system tests. Person Specification: To have at least 2 years relevant experience including systems development activities To have experience of using at least four programming languages or software tools in a business environment. To have experience of workflow applications and systems integration To have experience in writing and maintaining computer programs and control routines in a business environment Wil be able to carry out systems and business analysis tasks and specify programs and procedures. Will have experience of creating program and procedure specifications for colleagues to work from.
