Deputy Project and Trust Liaison Manager- Public SectorDescription: An exciting opportunity has arisen working for a prestigious college based in London. My client is looking to recruit a Deputy Project and Trust Liaison Manager to be responsible, via the Assistant Estates Manager and Trust Liaison Manager, for the co-ordination and delivery of campus projects and the day to day management of supplying suitable accommodation for embedded space users. Duties: *Supervision of contractors to ensure the effective delivery of projects. *Manage reactive and PPM workorders in embedded space, including opening new, allocation and closing on the College?s Planon CAFM system *To ensure that all work is carried out in strict accordance with all relevant statutory regulations and approved codes of practices, the College?s Manual of Financial Regulations and Procedures and the College and Estate Department?s policies and procedures and with all GSTFT procedures and policies. *Create and maintain all project documentation using the College?s project management forms and database (Imprest) *Provide accurate estimates and written specifications for requested work and ensure that work is priced, inclusive of relevant cost centre, ensuring effective monitoring and control. *Preparation of projects plans using CAD *Obtain competitive quotations for work to be carried out by external contractors, submit for approval and the issue of official orders. *Maintenance of the Department?s procedures for the effective management of contractors, including the Permit to Work system. *To attend and minute project meetings and undertake reviews and inspections of ongoing projects as necessary. *To assist in the soft landings and project handover of O&M manuals etc to the Campus Operations Team. *Managing expenditure in line with budget allocations, ensuring value for money is obtained. *To be prepared to attend site outside normal working hours and be accessible by telephone. *To participate in the Estates Department multi-skilling training. *To deputise for the Assistant Estates Manager or Trust Liaison Manager in his absence. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of project management within a Facilities Management Team and ideally NEBOSH qualification. You will also require experience of procurement processes and contractor management. It is sometimes necessary to close vacancies before the closing date.
