Technical Manager- ManagementDescription: Technical Manager - Central London - £58k Plus Benefits. Our client has a 5 year contract to Manage the Maintenance & Facilities of their clients site and have an immediate requirement for a Technical Manager. Purpose of Role/ Job Summary: To ensure that the 24/7 operations at their client's site are value, pro-active and correctly reported. To maintain site PPMs to 100% completion at a high quality level. Update the asset register on a routine basis. 2 direct reports and the responsibility of 16. To ensure compliance is conducted, and that all requests are responded to for a client with a 6 star service level. To be a key player in the technical pro-active approach on risk minimisation for the client. To be the SAP for a complex HV system, knowing current status at all times. To be a key member in the communication system between the client and on site team. To be responsible for the permit system. To plan and implement building shutdowns and complex client project works. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensuring that communications are to the point, clear, concise and real time. • Update the client on all issues as required, as focal point of operations. • Attend weekly WIP meetings inputting information for job closure and receiving actions. • Own both operational fault logs, and compliance meeting actions. • Ensure that planned work is executed and reported back. • Responsible for the allocation of the PPM planner checking that skill allocations are deployed correctly. • Audit the work flow of the shift team to ensure quality control, and to assess possible anomalies. • Sub contractor logistics, liaising with the key points of contact ensuring that best practice and value are met. • Ensure that all RAMS are reviewed prior to the issue of a permit to maintain high H & S standards, and to ensure that tasks do not interfere with building operations. • Report on the building compliance documentation. • Run engineer reports and shutdown reports to a high standard, giving solutions to problems. • Ensure the site productivity levels are high through PGLs, giving high efficiencies. • Review all sub contractor service reports ensuring that output is value for money. • Ensure sub contractor documentation is correct and sign to approve on behalf of the client . • Play a key role in the escalation process. • Ensure that practices conform to OWOW practices. • Prioritise workflow according to level of urgency and SLAs for workforce. • Time sheet secondary authorisation for the team. • To respond to all client requests regardless of inclusion to scope. Goals / Targets • Ensure that all actions from WIP meetings are met within 2 weeks of meeting. • Ensure that resource is readily available. • Zero target breaches / failed SLAs. • Zero accidents. • Concept reporting tasks allocated, completed and closed within contractual SLAs reporting real-time. • All staff productivity levels to be high, keeping a responsive utilised workforce. Experience/Knowledge Required: • UK Engineering management experience for 5 years + • Post apprenticeship engineering experience for 15 years + • Client liaison experience • Electrical bias with a general engineering experience within Facilities Management. • Compliance experience • HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) experience 6 years + • Soft skills on MS office packages Qualifications: • Time served apprenticeship • Recognised qualification in a service engineering bias to minimum level 5 (HNC) or equivalent experience • IOSH Managing safely (minimum) NEBOSH preferred • Minimum 5 GCSE/O-levels A - D grade including English, Mathematics & 1 of 3 sciences • Preferred previous IPAF / PASMA • Preferred previous SAP duties for large HV networks Location Central London Salary To £58k plus full company benefits package which includes a Car, Pension, Health Care - Bupa.
