Rates Manager- ManagementDescription: Job Title: Rates Manager Location and Post Code: Central London (W1) Salary: To Be Confirmed, Dependent upon Experience Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.30 pm Job Type: Permanent Our client has been established for over 30 years and is part of a company specialising in delivering relocation services to the corporate market. They are currently looking for a Rates Manager to join the team in their Central London office. Job Purpose: To assist the Manager with the smooth running of the Section and in conjunction: * To provide accurate costs for tenders, bids and multiple rate requests on requested formats and within set deadlines. * Assist with pricing and profitably reports for our client as requested. * Advise and work with all staff on cost implications and best practice. * Maintain rates and requests on the Acadia system. * Assist any other department in line with management directive. Responsibilities: * Obtaining preferential rates and prices for services from global agents and other service providers e.g. freighting / transportation companies and TEAM offices. * Calculate and obtain UK and global service and freight costs. * Ensure that all costs submitted are accurate and presented in a timely manner. * Compile matrixes and spreadsheets. * Analyse rates, evaluate and present rate proposals and pricing. * Quoting recommendations for departments within the mobility sector. * Any other tasks set by Management. Skills Required: * Excellent customer service skills. * Ability to work to tight timescales. * Be proficient in Microsoft Excel. * Excellent numeric skills – Maths GSCE equivalent. * Financial Awareness. * Must be able to pay attention to detail and be accurate. * Be able to work as part of a team. * Freight forwarding or Transportation and logistics experience is desirable but not essential.
