Early Years and Childcare Manager- ManagementDescription: Our client is a national charity that focuses on supporting Children and Families through providing integrated children's services to communities nationwide. They are looking for an Early Years and Childcare Manager to oversee, manage and develop a high quality Day Nursery environment. This is an INTERIM contract role for 35 hrs per week paying 25K p.a dependant on experience. This role is based in Erith, outside Dartford, Kent. Job Description: - To lead on the establishment of a strategy for coordinating high quality early years and childcare services to meet the needs of 0 - 5 year olds - To promote and encourage the input of users in the decision making and strategic development of the Day Nursery - Support positive working relationships with partners and other agencies in the area - Be responsible for the development and daily management of the nursery - Promote and support the development of an innovative approach to Children's learning and play which is both stimulating and secure - Identify and allocate required staff resources - Ensure that the emotional needs of children are treated on an equal level a physical, educational and other needs and that the well being of children is paramount in all interactions - Promote inclusive attitudes and practices to accommodate and support the diversity of the local community - Manage a team of qualified, trainee and volunteer staff, ensuring all training and safeguarding procedures are implemented and adhered to Skills/Requirements: - Level 3 Early Years and Childcare Qualification or equivalent - First Aid, Enhanced DBS, Basic Food Hygiene certified - Demonstrable recent experience in a supervisory role of a childcare service under EYFS and Playwork principles of children added 0-5 years old. - Experience managing budgets - Proven team leadership attributes and examples - A thorough understanding of the emotional, physical, psychological and educational development of children - Experience working with parents and carers from a range of cultural backgrounds - Knowledge of the code of practice and safeguarding policies for children with Special Educational Needs Benefits: - 33 days hols including bank holidays - Pension - Life Assurance Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted --------------------------------- Red Personnel is an Equal Opportunities Employer
