International Sales Support Assistant Manager – reporting to Sales Support Manager International The International Sales Support Assistant Manager is a hands-on role responsible for working with and providing a high level of support to Sales personnel within all regions outside the Americas. This role deputises for the International Sales Support Manager when required, interacts with all levels of management from different countries and cultures is a key point of contact centrally and involves high level action on multi-million dollar accounts. This is a proactive role, delivering continuous improvement through process re-engineering and identifying new revenue generating opportunities. Key responsibilities and accountabilities • Deputise for the International Sales Support Manager as required, attending high level meetings, providing information and updates and ensuring all actions are executed by agreed deadlines. • Assist the International Sales Support Manager to improve the skill-set and competencies within the team, ensuring goal completion, motivation, training, coaching, development and talent building and also induction and on-boarding for new starters. • Be hands-on and have sufficient knowledge of all job roles in the team to supervise work and to cover during holidays, absence and busy periods. • Provide HEL (Hertz Europe Limited) Director support, completing adhoc tasks as delegated / requested by VP Sales & Marketing, the Director of Sales & Marketing Operations, the Commercial Directors and the Corporate, Partnership and Travel Distribution Sales Directors. • Ensure that all work produced by the team is to the highest quality standards for both accuracy and presentation. • Manage a number of small to medium sized projects for Sales and Marketing as required. • Create corporate presentations, and to maintain an up-to-date sales library of imagery and facts & figures for all brands. • Identify business, revenue and profit opportunities through system enhancement and continuous process improvements. System Management • Manage the internal system (DataEase) database system administration, creating and deleting users and password maintenance and basic programming. • Manage the DataEase prioritisation meetings and act as Lead Coordinator from the user base, with 3rd party vendor for any system issues, trouble tickets and system enhancement requests. • Train new users to use DataEase effectively and to improve the skills of existing users. • Perform user acceptance testing for new systems and rates and maintenance testing as required for all applications used by Sales and Sales Support teams. • Work with programmers and analysts as required in the development of new systems to support the sales teams. Sales Support • Manage the HEL Corporate Pricing mailbox ensuring the work is actioned within specified deadlines and to agreed SLAs • To be main point of contact to investigate any incorrect account set-ups to ensure systems are corrected, customers receive correct rates and the tracking is accurate. • Review current processes and seek opportunities for re-engineering for continuous improvement. To optimise processes to deliver the best quality service, speed of execution and increased efficiencies and to maintain a database of all processes for all segments with up to date step by step guides and contacts. • Identify appropriate materials to support new business sales negotiations, tender responses and presentations. • Gather and consolidate data from the international region into single reports for the US senior management. Minimum Requirements Education • Educated to degree level or qualified by experience • Numerate with good mathematical skills. Knowledge • Fluency in English language both written and oral is essential. • Microsoft office package minimum requirements: o MS Excel – Advanced level essential o PowerPoint – Advanced level desirable o Word – basic level essential o Visio – basic level desirable Experience • Previous Team Leader or Supervisory experience essential. • Previous experience working in a busy sales support or international office environment desirable. • Previous experience of working with multiple departments and different levels of management desirable.
