Quantity Surveyor Freelance- ConstructionDescription: Skilled Careers are currently recruiting for a strengthening main contractor who is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with experience of procurement, to work on a £69million regeneration scheme in Kingston. The client are leading the market and have a variety of new build RC frame mixed use residential schemes throughout London and the surrounding areas. Main duties and responsibilities of a suitable Quantity Surveyor: ·Final accounts ·Client and sub-contractor claims ·Procurement and Payment of Sub-Contractors & Consultants ·Adhering to Procurement Schedules and Rates ·Completion and Raising of Sub-Contract Orders ·Issuing of Sub-Contract Tender Packages ·Analysing of Sub-Contract Tenders ·Valuing of Monthly Sub-Contract Applications ·Reporting to Clients on Cost Issues as and when Required ·Submission and Agreement of Monthly Client Valuations The successful Quantity Surveyor must have previous experience working with either a main contractor or residential developer, with a minimum experience of 5 years in the construction industry and an ambition to progress with an expanding contractor. The opportunity to progress from Quantity Surveyor into a Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor position is a possibility as the contractor has secured many projects and is growing their commercial team with the drive to become a top 5 main contractor in the country. Key Requirements of a Quantity Surveyor: ·Experience working with a comparable regional contractor or residential developer ·Relevant Quantity Surveying qualifications ·Maximize profit and cash levels at all times ·Manage and reducing risks to the business ·Able to deal with tough negotiations and pressures of fast paced environment Our advertisements use post-qualification experience/salary levels as a guide.
