Car mechanic Grey Trace and his beautiful wife Asha are attacked by four men on their way home from delivering a car. Asha is murdered and Grey’s spine is severed. When he regains consciousness, Grey is a quadriplegic. Plunged into despair, Grey cannot see any point to life until technology entrepreneur Eron Keen offers him a trial of a new artificial intelligence micro-chip called STEM, which can be implanted into his spinal cord and take control of his broken body.
