Coleman Silk is a professor of classics at an Ivy League university, who is revered by students and staff alike. During a lecture, he makes an innocent comment about two absent students, which is wrongly construed as a racist remark. Disgusted by his treatment at the hands of the faculty, Coleman resigns. His rage is fuelled by a deep, dark secret: Coleman isn’t Jewish as all his friends believe, he is African-American.
