Young mole Mungo Morrison secretly dreams of becoming a professional footballer but he is too small to make his mark on the pitch and cannot play in bright light. Crestfallen, Mungo resigns himself to a life in his hometown’s gold mine alongside his father and friends. Following a mysterious accident, the mine is forced to shutdown and gold-obsessed supervillain The Boss attempts to bully the town into selling the mine. Mungo and his neighbours refuse to be intimidated.
