RSC Live Encore Screening: Timon Of Athens

A woman of privilege and wealth discovers the true price of happiness in director Simon Godwin's staging of Shakespeare's pointed satire, which was recorded live at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. Timon lavishes money and affection on her friends, who take advantage of the rich Athenian's generosity and influence. Philosopher Apemantus fears that these so-called confidants are only interested in Timon's bank balance. Her cynicism is merited.
