Investigative journalist Amy Whittaker intends to pay her overdue rent by writing an article about recruiters from the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (IS), who attract western women to their cause. Amy creates the fake online persona of Melody Nelson, a young woman who has recently converted to Islam, and is thrilled when IS fighter Bilel makes contact. He strikes up regular conversations to persuade her to travel to Syria and strike back against the west.
