Thirty years after the legendary band The New York Dolls disbanded, bassist Arthur 'Killer' Kane receives a telephone call from Morrissey, curator of the 2004 Meltdown Festival in London, inviting Kane to join his former bandmates for a special reunion concert in the capital. The documentary shadows Kane during this momentous journey, gaining interviews with some of the band's biggest celebrity fans, including Bob Geldof, Chrissie Hynde, Iggy Pop and Morrissey himself.
