Ten-year-old Anna Beam lives in Burleson, Texas with her deeply religious parents, Kevin and Christy, and two sisters. Anna falls ill with a severe intestinal condition, which requires her to be feed through tubes. The prognosis is bleak and doctors tell the Beams to prepare for the worst. Just when all hope seems lost, Anna falls into the hollow of a tree and when she emerges from hospital, doctors discover that her condition has gone.
