Arthur is a Welsh animation student, who harks from a hard-working family that has managed to send their boy to university with the help of a student loan and a maintenance grant. On a raucous night out, Arthur meets upper-middle class cellist Vida, who has seldom found herself in financial difficulty. Sparks of attraction fly and Arthur and Vida fall head over heels in love. When they meet each other’s parents, Arthur and Vida are compelled to question differences in their social standing.
