Markus Koplin owns a metal-working business and is happily married to his childhood sweetheart Ella. Life is good, the marriage rock solid. As a member of the local volunteer fire brigade, Markus is often called to the scene of horrific accidents and one incident leaves him badly unsettled. So during a subsequent weekend training session with his fellow fire-fighters, Markus drowns memories of the apparent suicide only to wake the next morning, in bed and in love with pretty waitress Rose. Torn between the two women, Markus wrestles with his guilt to decide where his heart belongs.
