In 1992, the nightlife in Paris is buzzing and two talented young DJs, Paul and Stan, create the brand Cheers to play music that hasn’t yet filtered into the mainstream. They host parties, relying on the kindness of Paul’s despairing mother Renee to finance these gatherings and their expensive drug habits. As the years roll by, Cheers gains in popularity, and Paul and Stan watch their good friends Thomas and Guy-Man become household names as Daft Punk.
