Distant Constellation

An acclaimed documentary, which spends quality time in the company of the residents of a retirement home in present-day Istanbul. Outside of the buildings windows, construction continues at a feverish pace in the city but inside the home, the camera captures a more sedate and contemplative pace of life. The stories shared include one woman’s deeply personal account of the Armenian genocide and a pianist’s romantic confession.
