The Someone Like You singer has recorded the theme for Skyfall, the latest film in the spy franchise and it has been given the seal of approval by Tedder, who tweeted: “I’ve heard it. Best Bond song in my lifetime. Hands down. Hats off once again to [producer] Paul Epworth and Adele. hope they win Oscar.”

Adele has previously worked with Epworth on single Rolling in the Deep from her 21 album, which also featured the song Rumour Has it, co-written and produced by 33-year-old Tedder.

Adele’s publicist Paul Moss also tweeted about her latest track, which is reportedly called Let The Sky Fall.

He wrote: “Are you ready for the Skyfall theme song? Hope you are because it’s coming and it’s going to explode.”

By singing a Bond theme, Adele joins an exclusive club of performers which includes Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Shirley Bassey, Duran Duran, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Garbage and Madonna, among others.

Adele’s track is expected to be unveiled next week.
