The glamour model is having her £2.5 million home in West Sussex renovated so she and her three children – Harvey, nine, Junior, six, and four-year-old Princess Tiaamii – will be living in a log cabin for the next 12 months on the property’s grounds.

The hut is 38ft long and 20ft wide and comes with a kitchen, living room, three bedrooms and a family bathroom and is suitable for young Harvey, who has special needs.

Her agent Paul Tither wrote to the council in a bid to allow Katie – who also keeps horses on her land – to have the cabin put up temporarily.

According to the Daily Mirror, he told them: “The proposals are to provide adequate living accommodation for a family of five including a disabled child for a temporary period. The applicant needs to be on site to tend to the horses within the stables in case of an emergency overnight.”

Council officer Lisa da Silva said: “The planning authority would not normally grant permission for such development but under the circumstances it is considered reasonable to make an exception and to allow the development for a limited period.”

Katie is adding a cinema, side extension and oak-framed indoor swimming pool to her current home.
