The biggest fusion of dance and music in the UK, featuring a top line-up of artists, DJ’s, battles and some of the most talented dance crews around.

Dance Off is a one off night of entertainment that pairs up music and dance in an audio visual feast of the highest standard. Highlights will include performances from IRONIK, Killa Kela, Dj Yoda, DJ Manny Norte (Kiss 100) and World DMC Champions Shiftee (US) & Switch (UK) performing a special 4 turntable battle. More exciting names will soon be announced for the first ever Dance Off, taking place on Thursday 25th June at Matter @ The O2.

Dance Off will satisfy the public’s insatiable appetite for street dance performance and it will be cleverly married up with music to create a cutting edge and action packed show. It will be held in a state of the art venue, Matter and is fully supported by International Music Industry Week (IMIW).

Featuring collaborations from top artists, DJ’s and dancers; the night promises to raise the bar in UK street dance entertainment, whilst opening it up to a much wider audience. Dance performances include the likes of D-Clash – Nike’s girl dance troupe, Boy Blue and a Bonnie & Clyde Battle – Where teams of paired dancers (one male and one female) under the “break/bboy” style banner battle in a tournament style “knock out” system. There will also be a specially selected judging panel on the night. Having taken inspiration from the commercial and street dance scene Dance Off promises to be one of the most talked events of the summer. With dance underpinning every performance of the evening, the feel good factor will be sky high.

International Music Industry Week (IMIW) the UK’s most distinguished music industry trade event will take place at London’s prestigious Institute of Contemporary Arts. Located on the Mall, between Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, music professionals from around the world will gather for two days of conference, business, showcasing and networking opportunities.

Dance Off – Where Music Meets Dance has been set up as a platform for the Dance Off Awards which will take place in 2010 as the first high profile contemporary award show for dance. Dance was once considered the poorer cousin of music but with dance permeating the entertainment scene on all levels; it deserves its own space in the award show calendar with full support from the music industry.
