Directions:
The stress levels involved in getting to the grounds was never going to be easy, the official Wimbledon 2007 site recommends taking public transport and we're not about to argue. Driving is a potential nightmare; expect heavy traffic limited parking. The good old bus and tube are looking better by the second. Our Wimbledon 'Insider' tells us that walking from the Southfields Train Station is the best way to go. Whatever you decide, careful planning will go a long way - here's a head-start:
BUSES:
You can get a London General shuttle bus straight to The Championships from Wimbledon station and Southfields station. These run every five minutes until late so you're safe if both finalists just never say die.
You can also get a bus service every 30 minutes from Marble Arch or Victoria.
TRAINS:
The regular service from London Waterloo to Wimbledon Station is your best bet here. 'Out of towners' may also find that trains from their town pass through Wimbledon station. The Transport For London site is the best place for a comprehensive list of options and times. Book ahead to avoid long lines and hoards of screaming kids.
