The former The Only Way Is Essex star – who is to appear alongside her cousin, Harry Derbidge, in a UK version of the show which launched Paris’ TV career in the US – has forged a friendship with the blonde heiress via twitter and plans to give her an “Essex makeover” when the pair meet in two months’ time.
Amy said: “Paris is my mate now – she keeps on tweeting me. She heard about me and Harry Derbidge doing The Simple Life and she was like, ‘Amy, I would love you to do it. Oh my God, I think you’d be amazing. I want to come out with you. I’d love you to come to America’.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God Paris Hilton just tweeted me!’ She is coming over in two months’ time so we are going to go to London and then I’ll give her an Essex makeover.
“I’ll take her to my salon and give her a nice spray tan.”
The Simpleton Life – which has attracted the interest of both Channel 5 and ITV2 – will see Amy and Harry roll up their sleeves for a shift at an Essex branch of Domino’s Pizza, go deep sea fishing in the Outer Hebrides and spend a day underground in a Welsh coal mine.
Amy added in an interview with the Daily Star newspaper: ”I would love me and Harry to be traffic wardens. I’d let everyone off.”
