KATE MIDDLETON’S family are to cash-in on the royal wedding by selling “traditional street party bits”.

The information on the couple’s business plans came out after they were asked a question via the Party Pieces Facebook page. The Middletons own Party Pieces, a party props and equipment supplier.

“We will have a Royal Wedding day in April – will you be selling traditional British themed products we can order in the coming months?” reads the query, quoted in The Mirror.

“We certainly will be doing some traditional street party bits,” replies Party Pieces.

“These will be available mid-late February!”

It is thought Carole and Michael Middleton, Kate’s parents, have been warned by royal advisors not to use the wedding of their daughter to Prince William as a business opportunity.

But the “street party bits” incident is the second in which the Middletons have risked accusations of cashing in on the big day. Last year, they ran an article on the Party Pieces website which said that “every little girl dreams of being a princess”.

It is thought unlikely that caterers at the royal wedding will use Party Pieces’ merchandise from the Fairytale Princess range, such as the Blue Plastic Cutlery and the Pop Up Princess Castle Table Decoration.
