PAUL WELLER is to play two gigs at the Royal Albert Hall in May 2010.

The concerts, on 24 and 25 May, are set to feature material from the Modfather’s upcoming album, provisionally titled Wake Up the Nation, due for release in March and are in addition to the mini-tour Weller has scheduled for next month.
The December dates will see the former Jam legend perform with a small backing band in more intimate venues such as the Venue Cymru in Llandudno and the Winter Gardens, Margate.
These arenas that can perhaps now be seen as handy warm-ups for both the new album tracks and the full-band show at the Albert Hall, at which Weller last turned out at five years ago.
Tickets for the Albert Hall gig go on sale on Monday, 30 November.
