New This Is It model is museum's 13th wax likeness of King of Pop
MICHAEL JACKSON is to be re-born today in the form of the 13th version of his waxwork at Madame Tussauds.
The famous wax museum, already planning a new model of the King of Pop before he died, say his death makes the remodelling more poignant.
"Until recently we've had Michael depicted from his Bad era and when he announced he was going to do tour dates in London we decided that we wanted a new figure as a tribute to an iconic star," said Liz Edwards, a Tussauds spokesperson
"The launch date has always been the same but now that he has passed away it seems even more fitting to unveil the new statue."
"It just felt right."
The new wax Jackson is based on the publicity poster for the This Is It tour, complete with black fedora.
