First UK gig is August, Queen of Pop arrives in London in September
TICKETS for Madonna's latest world tour went on sale today (Friday, 5 May) to an immediate huge response, with internet ticket sites reporting some of their fastest sales of the year.
For her first trick, the Queen of Pop takes to the stage at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Saturday, 23 August and arrives at our own Wembley Arena on Thursday, 11 September, with loads of dates in the rest of Europe and the US to look forward to as well.
The tour backs up the music legend's new Hard Candy album, which hit number one in the UK charts.
Madonna tours often have juicy titles and there’s no exception here. Dubbed the Sticky and Sweet world tour, this year's model is still more suggestive than 2006's Confessions tour and more fun sounding than 2001's Drowned World effort.
Fans can expect more of the same in terms of Madonna's famously extravagant stagecraft as her long time comrade in arms Jamie King is once again the show's director.
