The Young Ones star, one of his generation’s comedy pioneers, died yesterday aged 56 at his home in Barnes. Cause of death is still unknown, but Mayall’s wife said: ‘Maybe he had a fit, maybe it was his heart’. Mayall had suffered from epilepsy following a bike crash.
