LondonNet
broadcasts to US kids
AMERICAN school kids Wednesday 15 October
dipped into the wise pools of wisdom here at LondonNet in a specially
arranged live link up.
In an event organised by Arizona
company Educational Management Group, LondonNet Editor David
Clee (pictured right) was quizzed by sixth grade pupils at
Kamehameha Elementary School in Hawaii on the life
and times of Diana, Princess of Wales.
But it wasn't just Hawaiian kids who got the chance to hear
all about the tragic princess from the heart of the city in which
she made her home. Kamehameha is part of a 4,000 strong school
network in the US that regularly uses live internet events to
help in projects running right across the school curriculum.
Such is the interest in Diana that the take up for the session
was expected to be high from a potential audience running into
hundreds of thousands.
