|William: I Think About Mum's Death Every Day|
- Prince reveals his grief for Princess Diana and his doubts over the fatal crash
PRINCE WILLIAM says he thinks about the death of his mother, Princes Diana, every single day.
"There's not a day goes by I don't think about it once in the day," said the future King. "And so for us it is very slow and it has been a long time."
William made the heartfelt comments in an interview with US broadcaster NBC, which goes out next Monday. Though he has previously said he accepts Diana's death, ten years ago, was an accident, the Prince revealed some doubts this time around:
"You know, when people think about it, they think about how wrong it was. They think about whatever happened. Whatever happened in that tunnel, you know, no one will ever know."
Brother Harry's theory as to why the boys' mum is such a constant presence in their lives centres on the media.
"There was never that sort of peace and quiet for any of us, the fact that her face was always splattered on the paper the whole time," he said.
That note of frustration with the media fed into the Princes’ response to last week’s Channel 4 TV programme, which showed, albeit briefly, the immediate aftermath of Diana's crash.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Princes praise their friends for their patience and say they manage to have normal lives away from the media glare.
