| BRITS Smile on Lily Allen - Four nominations take Smile singer to top of the awards pops  LILY ALLEN is set to cap an amazing rise to glory this year by starring in the upcoming BRITS awards.The Smile singer has been nominated for four BRITS, including Best British Female Solo Artist and Best British Album, more than any other act at this year's awards. "Lily Allen has come from nowhere to bag a number one single and a top three album in her debut year," said an HMV spokesperson. "To secure four nominations on top of this is unprecedented and turns her success story into a bit of a fairytale." Next most successful on the nominations list were Muse, who are up for three gongs, among them the prestigious Best British Group. These days the nominations attract almost as much publicity as the awards themselves, so Jarvis Cocker can be forgiven for already talking like a winner. "I think I deserved it, but then I am a very egotistical person," Cocker crowed after being nominated for Best British Male Solo Artist.
