Police Escort for Hot Fuzz Stars
- Cortege leads comedy duo to premiere on Leicester Square

Police Escort for Hot Fuzz Stars. Universal Pictures UKSIMON PEGG and Nick Frost were last night escorted to the premiere of their new film, Hot Fuzz, by police outriders.

For their next publicity trick the duo responsible for Spaced and Sean of the Dead walked on a police-blue carpet into the cinema at Leicester Square. LondonNet's upcoming film of the week has already received plenty of praise, but Pegg was the master of downplayment.

"It's about a hotshot cop who goes down to the countryside and gets embroiled in a whole lot of heck," said Pegg, who co-wrote the film with director Edgar Wright.

"The inspiration for the film came from a lot of action movies, a lot of films we've grown up with, but when it comes to jokes you've just got to kind of feel it."

Pegg and Frost were joined by some of the film's other stars including Steve Coogan, Timothy Dalton and Bill Nighy.

Hot Fuzz opens in London this week.
