'I Would Have Answered Call,' Says Sex on Job Transport Cop
- Earpiece was the key to staying available for work, court is told

A POLICE Inspector who had sex while on duty told a court he kept his earpiece on during the session.

"If there was a call for me I would have answered it and dealt with it," said Masood Khan, of the British Transport Police at Southwark Crown Court yesterday.

Khan, usually based at Victoria, and the unnamed woman used a police office at Gatwick Airport railway station for a 20 minute sex session after meeting through an online dating service that specialises in match-making for people who wear uniforms for their work. CCTV footage had tracked their arrival.

"Once inside the room things moved very quickly. There was little chitchat. It was obvious she had been expecting to have sex," said Khan.

Thanks to the functioning earpiece, Khan was found not guilty of misconduct, but is still likely to face internal disciplinary measures.

"It was an absolutely wrong thing to do, morally and professionally, and I shouldn't have done that," the Inspector said.
