Forecast is Bright for Raindance
- Festival opens with film about conjoined twin punks

Forecast is Bright for RaindanceTHE RAINDANCE Film Festival opened last night with a showing of Brothers of the Head, a film about conjoined twins in a punk band, described by our reviewer as, "nothing short of remarkable."

It's just one of a series of intriguing movies on show at the festival, which runs until 8 October. Other music-film highlights include one about bands touring sanitation projects called The Mozambique Poo Tour, an acclaimed Jonathan Demme-directed film of legendary rocker Neil Young (Neil Young: Heart of Gold) and Rampage, a documentary covering hip-hop in Iraq.

It's not all about music on film. As in the 12 previous Raindances, the organisers have put together an often exhilarating mixture of the sublime and the sordid, with films from across the world.

This year's jury includes Dame Judi Dench, Parminder Nagra , Marky Ramone and Lou Reed.
