|Harry to William: Iíll Do the Job if You Donít Want it|
- Young princes revealed by their mum discussing matters of royal succession
PRINCE HARRY chomped at the bit to push older brother William aside for the job of future King when he was younger, TV presenter Jeremy Paxman has reported.
Paxman says, in his new book On Royalty, that in conversation with the late Princess Diana, the subject of Williamís desire to be king was raised.
"He often says he really doesn't want to do it," Diana told Paxman. "But then Harry says, 'Well, if you don't want the job, I'll have it."
The BBC TV man's book about the Royal Family, currently being serialised in a newspaper, has already raised eyebrows with its revelation that Prince Charles likes to have seven eggs boiled for him, so that at least one will meet his runny-yolk expectations.
Royal aides have rushed to pour scorn on the egg story, but have yet to confirm or deny the news about impending fratricide.
