|Weekend Spectacular for the Thames|
- Huge crowds set for watery fun on and around the river
LONDONíS Festival Season moves onto the river this weekend with the Thames Festival, ten years since the first one.
Last time out, nearly half a million people turned up to see the array of events on offer and this year the numbers could be even higher given the sunny weather forecast.
River boat races are one of the highlights, but the festival is about what happens alongside and above the river as much as on the Thames itself. Street theatre, circus acts, a night carnival and a spectacular firework display are just a few of the goodies on show.
The Thames Festival takes place between Westminster and Tower bridges, from 12 noon to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday. Itís free.
