- Festival adds films to its long list of goodies

Brick Lane Goes to the MoviesTHE BRICK LANE Festival celebrates its 11th year this Sunday with the introduction of its first ever film festival.

The Chili Film Festival, featuring shorts, cartoons and documentaries, many with intriguing titles such as The Briefcase That Brings Out the Baby and Waiting for Woody Allen, promises to be a welcome addition to the main festival, which has grown year on year since its inception.

60,000 people are expected to turn up on Brick Lane this year, there to taste the bewildering variety of culture offerings on show, with foods from a variety of cuisines, music from many genres and people and performers from all over the world.

The main festival starts at 12 noon and carries on until 6.30, while the film festival goes from 11am to 8pm.
