- Ten-day celebration starts this weekend

Camden Hosts Irish Music Festival, photo courtesy of Sean CorriganMORE performers than ever before are promised for this year’s Return to Camden Festival, the eighth such celebration of traditional Irish music.

Friday night’s opening show is a sell out but there are plenty of other chances to see some of Irish music’s big names over the next week and a bit.

Highlights include London-Irish act Pete Quinn’s six-piece band and James Carty (pictured) and the Tap Room Trio. There’s also ceili dancing, set dancing and a variety of music instrument workshops from the fiddle, accordion and tin whistle to concertina, flute and a special kids event.
