Chelsea Flower Show Comes Into Bloom

RHS Chelsea Flower Show, 2005. Chelsea Pensioners in The Ecover Chelsea PensionersTUESDAY marks the opening of this yearís Chelsea Flower Show, held in the grounds of the Royal Hospital in Chelsea and run by the Royal Horticultural Society.

Flower lovers, plant growers and garden designers are all represented in huge numbers and at a quality no other horticultural show can match.

As usual, the event is sold out, but TV viewers can catch a glimpse if not a scent of the incredible variety of plants on display.

Among the highlights this year are a garden designed with Chelsea Pensioners in mind, eco-friendly city gardens and the Jurassic Coast garden, which aims to raise awareness of the beautiful west Dorset coastline, Englandís first World Heritage site.

For those who fancy having for their own gardens some of the blooms on show, there is a sell-off of display plants starting at 4.00pm on Saturday, 27th, the last day of the Chelsea Flower Show.
