Elephant Roams Around London
- Machine-beast goes on search for lost girl

Elephant Roams Around LondonTHE SULTANíS ELEPHANT swings into the heart of London this weekend, the fulfilment of an extraordinary four-day performance that has already captivated and bemused passers-by.

Yesterday, the elephant emerged from its odd-shaped box, on Friday, the 12 metre mechanical beast, made mostly of wood, will include Horse Guards Parade and Trafalgar Square in its orbit and on the weekend, it is set to continue its passage into Piccadilly, Regent Street and The Mall.

Performed by French arts group Royale De Luxe, the story behind the elephant is of a Sultan who, wishing to find a time-travelling little girl, builds a massive time-travelling elephant. Makes perfect sense and perfect spectacle.
