|Scouts to Sleepover in London Dungeon |
- Darkness to fall as terror rises for group of fund-raising kids
TWENTY brave children will spend the night at the London Dungeon on Saturday/Sunday, part of the nationwide Giant Sleepover that organisers hope will break the world record.
In last yearís event, 31,000 kids did just that, but their efforts are set to be eclipsed this year, with at least 1,000 extra children involved in sleepover events across the UK.
The vast majority of those kids wonít have to suffer the ghoulish prospect that lies in front of the 20 Scouts from Tottenham, whose group was selected randomly from the thousands of registrations for the Giant Sleepover.
"All the scouts involved are very excited and looking forward to a night of scary fun," said Albert Ryder, the groupís adult leader. "Something tells me there might not be much sleeping going on!"
Sponsored by BT, the Giant Sleepover raises money for charity. This year, the funds are going towards the Boys Brigade and Childline.
