- Chief Architect says it's not 'the end of the world'

The chief architect for the new Wembley Stadium told the BBC today that there was only a 70% chance of the stadium being finished before the FA Cup final on 13th May - and that critics shouldn't be so harsh about it.

Lord Foster, who yesterday spoke to the BBC News website about his original plans for the stadium, also outlined the many challenges faced by his firm when undertaking the build, including the public controversy in destroying the old Wembley's Twin Towers.

He said: "It's the race to completion right now. If it wasn't completed in time, there would be enormous disappointment, but in the longer-term scheme of things, this building is going to be around for many, many years.
