- The new West End Sinatra production proves a lucrative venture, months before the curtains rises...

The lure of Frank Sinatra has proven a massive success, as a new West End production featuring footage of him has already garnered UKP1.5million in advanced ticket sales.

Sinatra At The London Palladium, which features never seen personal archived footage of Sinatra, projected above a 24 piece orchestra, dancers and and a mess of fabulous props, was the brainchild of producer Nick Salmon, who wanted to create a show that brought Sinatra to Life.

He told the Evening Standard: "I think it's enticing an older crowd who want the next best thing to seeing Sinatra in person as well as young people who know his music through the likes of Elton John, Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart re-recording his songs."

The show premieres in March.
