Confessions of a Birthday Girl
- Madonna at 48 basks in worship and infamy

Confessions of a Birthday Girl MADONNA plays Wembley Arena again tonight, though this bit of her World Tour is slightly more significant than the rest as itís the Queen of Popís 48th birthday.

With top tickets for the show priced at UKP160 maybe Madge has had enough birthday presents already, but tributes from fans have been aired on TV and radio all day.

Meanwhile, London club G.A.Y. is holding a Madonna Birthday Party in which, in one of the clubs rooms, only songs by Madonna herself will be allowed - a fitting tribute to one of Londonís most famous residents, who partied at G.A.Y. this day last year.

Itís not all sweetness and light for Madonna, though. The Confessions Tour has raised the hackles of religious groups around the world and it could be that in Germany, the next stage of the tour after London, her gigs will be banned. In her show, Madonna uses the Christian cross as a prop to her sexy antics.

German legal authorities said they will monitor Madonnaís act before she plays Dusseldorf on Sunday, the latest in a series of censorious attacks including one from Vatican Cardinal Ersilio Tonino, who called for the singer to be ex-commuincated.
