- Queen Mum's former London home opens for summer
THE FORMER LONDON home of the late Queen Mother, Clarence House, opens its doors today for the summer tourist season.
It's the fourth year that the St James' property has been opened up to the public following a multi-million pound refurbishment in 2003. Visitors have until 8 October 2006 to view the house and its impressive art collection that includes work by Faberge and the British artist John Piper.
Clarence House is now used by Prince Charles as his London residence.
