- Complete Works season at Stratford does what it says on the tin

It will take the next year to showcase all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays, plus public readings of his sonnets and other poems, the first time ever all of Shakespeare‘s works have been performed as part of one festival.

“Our ambition is to stage one of the most significant cultural festivals of the year in Stratford-upon-Avon," said Michael Boyd, director of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Two new theatres, The Dell and The Courtyard, will take part in the festival, which features plays acted in other languages and by foreign theatre companies.
